41st PSA Annual Convention The PSA will hold its 41st Annual Convention on November 15-16, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, Ortigas Center Quezon City.

"Adopt a Delegate to Malaysia At Iba Pa" is a raffle to be participated by our members who are classified as "Good Standing Active" for the Fiscal Year 2009 on or before October 1, 2008. The participants will have both chances of being sponsored in the ASEAN Congress of Anesthesiologists in Malaysia on July 2009 and the Midyear Convention in Cagayan De Oro on May 2009.

A Day in the Life of an Anesthesiologist

Fellowship Night Contest

Everyday, we try to give the safest and most effective anesthesia to our patients. This is achieved by keeping abreast with what is most current through reading books and journals, surfing the net or attending conferences, workshops and short courses. Our lives are constantly striving to perfect our craft in order to provide state of the art, optimal care while maintaining a pleasant attitude not only to our patients but also to our colleagues and other co-health care workers in our continually expanding work milieu. Thus, after the yearlong struggle, it is the time to let our hair down and reveal the wacky side of anesthesiologists.

The contest is a nationwide Inter-Hospital/Chapter fellowship contest organized by the Philippine Society of Anesthesiologists, Inc. (PSA).

The contest is open to all members of the PSA.

The theme of the contest is “A Day in the Life of an Anesthesiologist”.

Each participating institution/chapter shall portray the theme in skit, song or dance form.

PSA - Distance Education in Anesthesiology

PSA Online now includes the Distance Education Program in Anesthesiology. The PSA-DEPA is the first on-line learning in anesthesiology worldwide. It is an educational program under the Office of the PSA President. The DEPA is approved by the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology (PBA) for board examination eligibility for anesthesiologists trained in non-PBA-accredited training institutions as of December 31, 2000 or earlier; and for those who took the DOH-six-month training as of 1997 or earlier and are practicing anesthesiologists for at least 10 years. Graduates of PBA-accredited training institutions can avail of DEPA modules as a review or update on the specialty.
